LAST EDITED ON 04-16-01 AT 10:04 PM (PDT) Unfortunately, Crushing Blow doesn't work on Champions or bosses. Just normal monsters/minions. --Mavfin EDIT: note to self/Bolty: see if we can hack sig placement in text box. |

Yeah, Crushing Blow does work with charge. Most people use Bonesnap for a good part (or even thier whole) career as a Chargedin. It has acceptable damage, and a whopping 40% Crushing Blow. Personally I prefer a Martel all the way to H/H Diablo. To tell you the truth, Crushing Blow is more impressive on a REALLY fast Zealot. When you charge with a high damage Martel you usually kill the monsters in a hit or two, and if you use Concentration one hit will do it, so your Crushing Blow would be wasted (if you decided to go the Goblin Toes route). -mole |

The key reasons, that I know of, that chargers don't usually have Crushing blow: 1. The equipment usually doesn't work well with a charger, ie: Goblin Toes have no run/walk speed increase (can you imagine if they did?) so, unless the charger uses high lvl vigor, they're going to be awful slow, The unique gothic has monster flee and doesn't offer some of the other modifiers a charger would want on armor (resists, +dex, +life, etc), Bonesnap, as stated previously, can be useful for a charger, but by the time you get to hell/hell you're really probably going to do more damage with a Martel or Battle Hammer. 2. Crushing blow doesn't work on Bosses or in PvP. These two fields, bosses especially, are really where Chargers can be very effective. 3. Charge does enough damage without crushing blow. Unless I'm mistaken, a Paladin can do the most possible single damage in the game (unless a Barb is partied with a Paladin). Adding on Crushing Blow just really isn't that necessary. -- Seraph |
