You get up to 60ish extra damage for almost seven mana points
60÷7 = 8.5 damage per mana point.
Now, lets do that for a certain level 30 skill.
152÷63 = 2.4
192÷63 = 3.0
Average = 2.7 damage per mana point.3 guesses what that skill is? The level 30 skill which, when compared to a clevel 1 skill, armed with a Short Bow (so that it's ranged), is less efficient than that.
Fire Arrow (I'd have used Magic arrow, but that would have been unfair  it's mana efficiency is infinite): 7.7 mana, is 1-4 damage, level 20 is +39-41 damage, 40÷7.7 = 5.2, 45÷7.7 = 5.8. Average is 5.6 damage per mana point. With a 1-4 damage weapon. Faithfully

I mean, just with normal weapons, nothing godly, just a magical broad sword, Pren does easily x4 times more damage than I do, for less than a quarter the mana. We play paired HC, he's the barb, I'm the sorc. "In my heart, there is the Opera of the storm" |

The sorceress cant drain mana back with the skill that uses the mana. It's just like politics. The liberals want to fix what the conservatives break so they swing WAY to the left. The conservatives want to fix what the liberals break so they swing WAY to the right. D1 sorc -> d2 sorc. D1 warrior -> d2 barb. When will people learn that the MIDDLE is the best place to be?
