"The Missionary Paladin"
 
   Everyone knows that therez a paladin created to convert monsters and thorn them for damage. My question is about conversion itself. I've been told that ITD doesn't not affect conversion, i.e. If u used Conversion with a 25% chance to hit, would that 25% have to be successful before the chance to convert is calculated? Because if you used ITD (Ignore Target Defense) weapons, your chance to hit will automatically be 95% which will basically assure you of your chance to convert. Can someone answer this question? If any one feels like they wanna make a conversion paly, I can try to give them an idea because there is no guide to it on this site (or any other site i can find). I heard it was called a Missionary, but i think i ended up doing it differently than others. This, in my opinion, is the most intresting of the paladins.

   You have to hit a monster to convert it. If you have 25% chance to convert, then technically you will convert the monster 1 in 4 times, but you have to hit it for that convert % to take effect.

   The reason you heard ITD didn't affect Conversion is because you don't need to hit a monster to Convert it. I'm pretty sure about not needing to hit, but I'll stand corrected if a Pally tells me different (I rarely use conversion, only to stop those damn Charge-bugged 0-hp monsters from poking me).

   conversion does NOT require the monsters to get "hit".

that's why missionaries can afford to go the dexless route.
