"No Points in Dex? "
 
   Many of the people and/or guides I've seen recommend putting little or no dex into stats for melee users. For example, the Halls of Zakurum recommend putting only enough points in dex to wield equipment, and people with barbarians only put enough dex to hold a lance (or whatever). WTF? Isn't hitting monsters important? Following this advice, a barb or pally wanting to wield a Martel will put no points into Dex whatsoever, and only have the 20 dex that he starts with. Even with maxed out Charge, that's only 335% of the AR from the 20 dex that he started out with. A barb will have a 95% from maxed WW and 100% or so from the mastery, so he's even worse off. So how the heck is he supposed to hit anything by the time he gets to Hell/Hell with no points in Dex?

   Main reason: +AR items are easy to come by and come on both weapons and rings, any decent damage weapon will most likely have a large amount of +AR. Also, for the amount of Dex it takes to gain even 1% chance to hit at higher levels it is unreasonable to pump Dex to get your AR up.

Barbs: Weapon Masteries and the fact that you get many chances to hit an enemy with WW will let you hit anything easily.

Pallys: Almost all his attacks and many of his auras add a hefty amount of AR and ITD Sceptors are a very good option.

   also, another reason why some don't put pts into dex is because of HC.

why place pts into something for AR when u can get it from items (better still, ITD from scepters); u need all the pts u can afford into vit IMO.

   Hi;

For barbs it gets even better if you don't use ww as your main attack. My lvl 65 berserker (with max berserk and mastery and base dex) has 7100+ AR.
