Blizzard employee Tyren released an addendum to the patch notes today, saying: In our desire to implement as many fixes as possible into every patch, a few changes were missed in the final version of the patch notes for patch 1.4.1. Here are those changes.
- Honorless Target - Players who just land from a gryphon/wyvern, or step out of an instance will gain this buff for 30 seconds during which this target will give no contribution points if killed. This was originally implemented in the previous patch, but was kept invisible.
- Druid ability: Rip - greatly increased in attack power.
- Archbishop Benedictus staged a temporary coup, and has taken the title of NPC leader of Stormwind City from Highlord Bolvar! Horde seeking to take out the leader of Stormwind should focus their efforts on Archbishop Benedictus for the duration. These changes will remain until the next content patch, when Highlord Bolvar reclaims his rightful throne:
•Highlord Bolvar should be respawning between 5 and 8 minutes. •Archbishop Benedictus should be respawning every 2 hours. •Bolvar will give no contribution points. •Archbishop Benedictus will give 15,000 contribution points. |

The honor points were tallied for PvP kills during the first week of the patch and the first ranks were doled out up to Master/Senior Sergeant. In response to a player complaining about how can having a level 60 player kill level 48 be called "honorable," Tyren replied: LOL. The 60's who spent the bulk of their time farming 48s because they thought that would give them meaningful results are in for a very disappointing surprise. |

Blizzard Community Representative Eyonix sat down with Blizzard Lead Developer Kalgan to get some answers to some frequently asked questions on the new PvP Honor System. The 10 second version? Things will get better once the (multple!) Battlegrounds are introduced in the next patch, whenever that is. |

If you play on a PvP server, shields up! The 1.40 patch was released today, introducing the long awaited and long delayed PvP reward system to World of Warcraft. The patch introduces a number of class and item changes as well, but there is little if any new content introduced as far as new zones or instances. |

After months of pushing back the release of Battlegrounds, Blizzard has given up and abandoned their development. As Community Representative Helcon said, "It hit us; Why reinvent the wheel? Why waste resources on a project we've already developed and perfected?" Instead of the new battlegrounds, players should expect to see a patch soon that seamlessly integrates Warcraft 3 into World of Warcraft. Players will then be able to get their PvP fix by playing Warcraft 3 in game against one another. Abandoning Battlegrounds will now allow Blizzard to focus on creating features that players really want, such as the ability to order food in-game, according to Helcon. A new partnership with the restaurant chain, Pandaren Xpress, will allow players to quickly and easily order chinese food on-line and have it delivered by a costumed Pandaran delivery person. |

One of Caydiem's roles as a Blizzard Community Manager is to bring the concerns of players to the developers. To this end, she has posted a draft of a document containing some questions and player concerns regarding hunters that she will be bringing to the developers soon. There aren't any answers here, but perhaps the questions themselves will be of some interest to hunter players as well. |
