Eyonix confirmed that the 1.11 patch is coming today: We will be extending our normally scheduled maintenance tomorrow by approximately two hours beginning at 3:00 AM PDT in order to apply the latest content patch. That's right, I said it -- we're patching tomorrow. Hurry, read this message before it's deleted! The truth must be told! |

Baring unforseen problems, the 1.11 patch will be coming out tomorrow, according to Tigole: A quick and simple thanks to everyone who helped test patch 1.11 on the Public Test Realms. It's amazing to see that we all share the same dedication for making this game great. With the nature of the MMORPG and quick-turnaround patching, we can never promise that things will be flawless. But we'll do our best to fix bugs as quickly as possible and show expediency with any tuning issues that might arise.
Just so you know, our internal testing efforts are ongoing. Our QA raid team has spent many hours on every encounter in Naxxramas. Now, they're focused on Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad -- the encounters which saw the least amount of testing on the PTR's (unless you count death touch hacking your way through the dungeon =P). Even after patch 1.11 goes live, our internal team will continue to work on the unbeaten encounters in Naxx to ensure the best possible tuning. It's always hard to get cutting edge content perfect, but we'll do our best to be responsive should any problems rise to the surface.
No promises as to when the patch is going live, but if I were you, I'd start working on that Argent Dawn rep by tomorrow -- either that or pillage the guild bank while the pillaging is good.
Your presence on the PTR's was greatly appreciated. |

It looks like the Spirit of Zanza potions will not have their "unique" monikers removed. Drysc writes: Our feeling is that [the Spirit of Zanza potions] will still add something to the game, but will be used mostly where they were intended to be beneficial. They will of course continue to be useful, but we wanted to move away from them being player-created 'requirements' for far away encounters. |

MongoJerry and his guildmate, Araxis, spent some time testing a wild theory that a target's spirit may affect one's crit rates. Take a look at this forum thread for the results as well as some great followup discussion on how hit tables work. |

Tseric mentioned a funny tidbit today on the official Blizzard forums. I had always wondered about this: On a tangential note, did you know it's possible to reach level 14 on exploration XP alone?
"Tseric, stop lying. How could you know that?"
Teleport hackers and farmers have been found that have ported to every zone in the game, yet killed no creatures. 14 was the usual level of the characters when the account was closed. Or was it 16?

In the middle of a different less interesting conversation, EnoTIs mentioned this interesting tidbit about the upcoming expansion: As to faction grinding...I agree that it is way too "grindy" and we are looking to overhaul the way faction works in the expansion. It was one of those features that was put into the game in late beta and never really received the polish and refinement that it deserves.

Did you know that the hares in Duotar are eight times more powerful than their adder critter cousins or that the sickly gazelles of the Barrens are fifteen times more powerful than the chickens of Westfall? This information and more can be found in this informative thread on World of Warcraft critters. Perhaps the best line of the thread, though, is this one: Critters are just reagent for the warrior's travel form. |

A while back, Lurkers were asked by Zarathustra how they would design a high level epic or legendary weapon for a druid. Blizzard item designers have come up with their answer. In Naxxramas, Grobbulus will drop The End of Dreams, a one-handed mace that adds +95 damage and healing and +305 Attack Power in Cat, Bear, and Dire Bear forms. |

A guild has cleared up to Frostwyrm and Kel'Thuzad's chambers in Naxxramas on the test server and made this video of their peering into the chambers. Don't worry, there aren't any strategy spoilers in this. It's just a chance to see Frostwyrm and Kel'Thuzad for the first time. |

Perhaps in an effort to counter the Jom Gabbar and all the hot new weapons that will be added in 1.11, Blizzard is also adding PvP-oriented cloth items with large amounts of armor and stamina, most of which will be found in Naxxramas. This Necro-Knight's Garb is a particularly juicy example of one of these items. |
