Getting the most from your favorite games. This is the goal of the Lurker Lounge. A site dedicated to die-hard gaming, studying a game down to every tiniest detail. Statistics, game mechanics, and in-depth strategies are what make news here. It's not a general gaming news website, and doesn't try to be. Unfortunately, this makes the site a poor one for those new to a game, but there's no better way to learn more about a game than by reading the news pages and the forums that are contained here. After a few weeks of reading, you'll be scaring your friends with formulae and strategies that they've never seen before - not to mention getting a leg up on those who remain in the dark about them. Reading this site regularly will make you an expert, plain and simple.

As a result, this site tends to have a more mature focus than general gaming news sites, most of which are after two things: hit count and popularity. Well, take it from Bolty, who's been writing and reading gaming news sites since 1995: popularity stinks. The bigger a gaming site gets, the more bogged down it gets and the intelligence level of its forum becomes lower and lower. "That's a snooty attitude," you might think, and you'd be right. But it's also true. Here at the Lurker Lounge, the site and forum administrators fight to keep the maturity and intelligence levels of the site and its forums high - and we take great pride in that.

Currently, the Lurker Lounge covers Diablo and Diablo II. These games are by Blizzard Entertainment which feature a combination of action with role playing elements to create an addictive gaming experience.  They are among the highest selling PC games of all time, and for good reason. They're incredibly fun for casual and die-hard gamers alike. The games seem simple enough on the surface, until you start digging deeper - and that's where this site comes in.

For information on who runs each section of the Lurker Lounge, refer to our Contact Us page.

The Lounge began as Bolty's Diablo Strategy Central, a site Bolty designed to learn HTML. He figured that the best way to learn would be to run a site on something that interested him, and nothing interested him on the Internet quite as much as Diablo. It started out as a hobby and grew from there. Months later, and many site redesigns later, the name changed to The Lurker Lounge, but the focus remained the same.

As for hosted strategy, the Lurker Lounge hosts strategy articles by various authors, with a large emphasis on quality and not quantity. Hosted here are the best guides for their respective fields, and are guides usually suited towards experienced players. If you are new to the games, you might find some of the jargon used in the guides perplexing. A little experience with the games will grant you better understanding if you're lost. The experts on the forums are more than willing to help you grasp new concepts.

If you came here looking for cheats, we have two words for you: get lost. This isn't the place for you. We promote fair gameplay and a healthy game environment for learning how to play games the way they are meant to be played.
