For spelling, a nice and easy-to-use download for Internet Explorer is iespell, available free at www.iespell.com. This is a plug-in feature with the browser; you simply click on the icon along the top of the window and the plug-in checks every spelling on the currently displayed page. You even have the ability to choose US, UK or Canadian dictionaries for different spelling.

For grammar, probably the most common would be Microsoft Word from the Office suite. Even recent releases of Microsoft Works have a working version of Word as well. Not having this, you'll have to do a little footwork. The Grammarlady site that Ace777 provided is a good source, along with that Webster site. Grammar Slammer also has a free trial version if you'd like.

Good luck!
