A good place to find this is<<< - LPL2004 - 07-04-2011

I am looking for a good place to find diablo 1 fan art,

specifically

diablo 1 webpages that came out within 1-3 years of the game existing (maybe slightly more)

or kind of like

talking about the time frame of roughly between 1996 and 2003

I know there was a good one that had a lot of fan art of rogue type pictures (archer type characters depicted).

anyway enlighten me if you have saved this from back then.

Also looking for "fan art" style art not even 100% necessarily exclusive to the game diablo 1 itself, but VERY similar to it's essence.

Man if this was the year 2003 it would be so easy to find an over abundance of diablo 1 websites

Now they seem almost nonexistant

you have to dig hard for this stuff now

it doesn't help either that geocities decided to delete my diablo 1 webpage that I hand wrote the html for (yeah I know that's easy)

they deleted it I assume because I hadn't logged onto if for the better part of forever

but it had like links to 10 to 20 diablo 1 web pages, and even if those websites were down maybe there was somewhere on the internet that kept a directory of old websites (not really 100% sure about this).

sigh.

this page looks familiar but I can't get it to work:

(2) Cathrin's/Claudio's Diablo Page:

All these websites would have worked in 2003 I am sure:

(2) Cathrin's/Claudio's Diablo Page:

You can retrieve archived versions of some dead sites (to some extent or another) by entering the links on the page here: http://wayback.archive.org/web/

Understandably it is very hit or miss as to how much content if any had been archived. But there are some old gems to be found this way for sure. If it comes up with some garbage page, make sure that you look back for older archived versions from 5 or 10 years ago because sometimes they are still there.

There is a lot of stuff floating around out there if you know what to search for. Any time I search for old Diablo stuff, my choice of keywords inevitably leads to Google finding an old forum post by me. Smile Sometimes I cringe at the things I thought were funny 12 years ago. The strat scene was not great for artwork or fan fiction though.

Claudio had a thing for the work of Luis Royo, who had a thing for drawing pretty ladies in fantasy settings wearing not very much clothing. http://web.archive.org/web/20060712230001/http://www.claudiospage.com/luis_roy.htm

Went to elfwood.com searched, "diablo". It's not exactly what you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
