Hello.
This Diablo hack works excellent! You can play Diablo in windowed mode.

I use it on Windows 7. Logging on to Battle.net works, but... It sometimes displays funny.
You can use ALT + C to create games and kind of 'click on thin air' to select Hell/Nightmare/Normal.
Other than that? Works great!
I don't know if it's Diablo Patch causing it or something else, but: Nova cast in the Cave levels causes lag spikes. The monster's health soars to 80,000+ then dies.
I forget which monster (as I usually avoid the cave levels).

You have to use this with Win 7? Never had issues with D1 and Win 7.
I use Win 10 now though, and this patch is literally the only way I can play D1 anymore.
Really hope the creator implements full screen mode in the next version though....

You should be able to add your own full screen toggle.
It's hooking the DirectX calls to force it into "Windowed mode" more or less.
If you're unfamiliar with DirectX: Look it up! It's rather simple to write a program with it.
DOSBox, for instance, renders between SDL, OpenGL and DirectX (all three can toggle between full screen drawing and the special 'windowed' mode drawing).

Hey do you have bytes schema that need to be patched?
I am ok with patching a diretdraw.dll
