news post

It's been confirmed that futurama is coming back, though not in the same form. It looks like they're going to make 4 full length dvd movies as opposed to a series. I'm happy that it's coming back at all, as it seemed to end very quickly without tying up some things.

Words cannot describe how happy I am now.

That is great news.

I'm glad they're going to do movies rather than resurect the serries. The finale was an excelent stopping point for the continuation (if you can call it that :)).

I agree. The last episode was moved to the end specifically to give the series a real ending, as opposed to the episode that Fox wanted to be (Bender shouldn't be on TV). I think that's how it went at least.

Wait.

Futurama ended? When in the Sam Hill was this?

August 10, 2003 apparently :)

The last episode was "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" where Fry made a deal with the devil to be able to play the holophone well, and ended up creating an opera.

Leela: Fry, your hands are so cold.
Robot Devil: Yet hell is so hot! Can I have my hands back?
Fry: No!
Robot Devil: You're not nice.

And proof that Fox knows nothing: The last episode was a really, really, really nice ending to an excellent show.
