AH question -- is 48 hour posting broken? - --Pete - 03-29-2010

Hi,

I usually post items for 48 hours so that I can split my AH activities over two days. Since Friday, although it looks like I'm posting for 48, the auctions expire in 24 hours. Is this a bug in the latest patch? Auctioneer hasn't changed.

Thanks,

--Pete

A search of the official forums finds a few people posting the same issue. I have posted several items, always 48 hours, but don't generally check back until after that period anyway so I wouldn't notice. The first poster I found was like you, listing a ton of auctions, so it becomes obvious. Of course, the first blue reaction was to blame an addon but the player's testing seems to refute that. The other point made was that it is costing a lot of gold. The 48 hour deposit is taken but items sent back in 24 means paying double what should be, easily hundreds of gold for big time AH players.:(

Thanks -- I think I'll scale back operations till this is resolved.

I was wondering why Conzo's mailbox seemed weird. Now I know. Wish I'd seen this BEFORE I put up all those darned auctions tonight.

Thanks, Lochnar!

I checked a test auction on one of my horde toons and it seemed right. It is now back to being the addon and apparently that is confirmed. I assume you are using Auctioneer but QuickAuctions was also mentioned. It doesn't look like there is a release version of Auctioneer but the official site has a preview version that is supposed to fix it. It is talked about here and can be downloaded.

Thanks for checking that out. I've used some of their preview versions in the past, with mixed success. I guess I'll give this one a try. Having to go through 3000 items each day is just a bit more than I care to do.
