Games are frequently shipped to stores a week in advance of their official release date. I've had Halo 2 sitting in my stockroom for over a week now. This might just be a notice generated on the basis that WoW will be shipping a week before release.

But a company like Gamestop would probably know better than to make that mistake. A vidio gamestore would probably know better than to make a mistake of releasing a major game early.

Also of note was the item that said they had closed open beta sign up because they had hundreds of thousands of signups and they had reached their target server population.
