The Scare Beast change is lunacy, sheer lunacy: For one thing, it hardly ever managed to last the full allowable duration in PvP (My findings, and those of others, say that it breaks after about five seconds or so). It only works against Feral Druids and other Hunter pets, has a pitiful range, a casting time, a high resist rate, is interruptable, and Druids can simply shift in an out of their animal form to break it. Unless the Druid you were fighting was clueless, SB was pretty much a waste of precious time to use.
Freezing Trap change... Our only viable, reliable form of CC and even then it was still prone to massive and fatal failures, and now they've nerfed it again. The trinket change was painful enough. Other classes can chain fear or CC, but for a Hunter to do so required speccing in the Survival and gearing specifically for lower trap refresh CDs.
Nerf Flare, nerf Track Hidden, make Vanish remove Hunter's Mark. Pets were the only fuggin' defense we had against Rogues and now they've broken that too. Once again, an already powerful class gets favoured above their weaker supposed anti-class.
Every class had their CC reduced to 10 seconds. It's a universal change, and not a plan to root out Hunters once and for all.
However, it's interesting that Blizzard did not introduce any significant changes/buffs to Hunters, as currently they are also one of the least represented classes across all brackets in Arena, if not the least represented.
