Well, You should only have enough strength as you need to use all your equipment. Something like 165 strength is good, and for your weapon,you could get a socketed Schafferes and put a rainbow facet in it, or an Ebotd zerker is still ok. Because with conviction at level 20, it lowers their resists by alot, and be sure to pur points into resist fire/coldghtning and salvation. These all juice up the damage that vengeance does.
