Friday the 13th, and August the 13th.
1. The Good: My Aunt Katherine was born 1933 on August 13th.
2. The Bad: Friday the 13th is vilified due to the take down of Grand Master of Templars Demolay by the King of France. After Friday 13th, the Templars were scattered to the four winds, though some would have you believe they have since survived.
3. The Ugly: The Berlin Wall was first put up, the formal barrier to cross zone travel as it were, on 13 August 1961.
I have now officially survived Friday the 13th of August 2004. I walked to work, did not get hit by a car, was not electrocuted, was not in a tent or building that caught fire, did not receive an electrical shock, did not have my room catch fire, nor was I shot at by an RPG.
In the past month, those are all calamities that have happened to folks here.
I feel pretty lucky. :)
