No, you are wrong. Your description above fits CAPITALISM to a T. It is intrinsically chock filled with contradictions and any system that features one class holding domination and power over other classes can never exist legitimately without the heavy handed assistance of the state. This is historically observable. Further, the capitalist system thrives through propaganda, mystification, and brute force only - it does not (and cannot!) exist on its own merit; and every time the ruling class has tried to make that happen the system falls on its ass.
To be a communist is simply to be one who has faced the music; specifically one who realizes that capitalism is historically a rotten system to the core that can NEVER be fixed - no matter how many reforms or regulation (or lack thereof) you implement - and that the only solution is a complete overhaul of it. You have yet to face the music, but this system is on its death bed regardless of whether or not you choose to face that music.
