Just a quick note: This is a good place to collect my random thoughts on this topic, but I'll try to organize it so it makes sense for everyone else.

Purpose of this thread( and my ramblings ):
Given enough Crit Chance, is Strafe (Stinging Steel) + Bonus Crit gear + decent hatred regen enough damage to make it viable (over Multi-shot, Ball Lightning, Ice Arrow, etc).


Strafe
Hatred: 15
# of Attacks: ?
Target(s): One per attack (auto-aimed)
Damage: 120%
Misc: Moves @ 65% Movement Speed

Runes
Equilibrium: Increases Attack Speed by 20%
Drifting Shadow: Increase Movement Speed to 100%
Stinging Steel: +100% Crit Damage
Rocket Storm: Include homing missiles for +60% dmg
Demolition: Throw out grenades for +144% dmg within 9 yards


Hatred per second usage:
Hatred Cost (15) x Attacks per second.
Logically, we'll want to use a 2-handed crossbow: 1.10 APS, plus 150% crit damage with the Archery passive.

So our Hatred per second cost is 16.5 (1.1 * 15).

Hatred Regen:
3 (Natural) + 4 (Bat) + 2.66 (Maximum for non-hand xbow gear) = 9.66 Hatred regen per second.

That leaves us with 5.34 Hatred / second that we use.

Against a single target, we can use Marked For Death (Mortal Enemy) to regen an additional 3, which leaves us using 2.34 Hatred / second against a single-target. That's pretty good.



Things I need to test:
I don't know, right now, how many attacks are fired per "pulse" of Strafe.
I do know, that my character sheet says I do ~16k dps, and each hit was hitting for ~2k dps, so logic would say 9, but I need to verify this.
