Operation Gnomeregan

How does one pick up the quest to take part in the event? My shaman went through a quest line to hand in a speech to Mekkatorque, but can't get any follow-on quest. Bystanders have told me there is a quest but I don't see how to get it. Wowwiki and Wowhead have been no help on this.

Thanks.

What level is your character? On the Horde side, the last two quests in the chain require level 75 and 78.

Thanks. My shaman is 80. She just went along with everybody else for the event and got a quest turn-in back in Ironforge. Not Blizzard's best quest design in my opinion. I'd rather see an exclaimation mark to join the event or at least a dialog box, similar to an escort quest. I wasted about forty minutes. At least now I know what to do. Hope this saves someone some aggravation.

Don't forget about the nice little glitch where if you fight in the tunnel itself and don't get the gnome forces involved, the big trogg doesn't spawn so you have to wait for it to reset and then do it all again.

Fortunately some kind person was warning about not fighting in the tunnel. I wondered why that was. Now I know.

So Do the alliance get some nifty counterpart to our Troll costume? I have to say, of all the costumes that they have put in the game, that thing is freaking amazing.

True - and it serves a purpose. (hint: I stood at the elevator into Gnomeregan for a while thinking "How did they do that?")

Sunetra as a Troll Paladin is made of nothing but awesomeness and win. I love it.

This has been nothing but fun in my guild. Our guild leader, who is a VERY outspoken person, HATES trolls. HATES them with a passion. If a potential guild applicant is marginal, he has gone so far as to ask if they would be willing to race change a few times. His raid full of trolls is nothing short of hilarity.

She might have thought better of it by now, but as of last night I had his girlfriend convinced to do the quest and log his toon out as a troll while he is at work. Big Grin
