"merc stat points (E)"
|
when mercs increase levels, they add their own stat points and increase resistances by themselves. also when you hire or get a merc it depends on what level you are at. has anyone actually determined if you get a merc with better stats and resistances if you help develop one compared to hiring one. ie if you build a level 5 rogue to level 30 , will her stats be the same/ better/worse (using the same bow/armor) as hiring a level 30 rogue? my gut thought is that they get the same stats in the end by using the same formula but you never know with bliz.. my crazy thought for the day. dranatos |

When you hire a merc, his/her level is dependant on the Act and difficulty level, not your level. So the best thing to do is buy the merc you want ASAP then slowly build the merc up. My friend got an Act 2 defender after he was in Act 4 ... he spent an hour in Act 2 getting the merc to a decent level. --Quark |

Not what level the Merc was, but this: If you hire a L.5 Merc in Normal, and level it up to L.40, will it be equal/stronger/weaker than a L.40 Merc hired in Hell....i.e. same level, but one hired at that level, and the other leveled up. While I think that's what was asked, I have no idea as to the answer. Nyxara |
