"Crafted Items Questions"

Perhaps Spirea or someone could help me clear up a little doubt about Crafted Items.... 1) Which of these Items can I Craft? Plain, Socketed, Magic, Rare, Set, Unique items 2) Do Craft bonuses stack on top the ingredient's bonus? Or does it erase it and put in its own 1-5 Set, 1-5 Random bonuses? 3) Can Craft items gain Magic-Only mods? 4) Please confirm if this is true: "The Random bonuses that are available, are only 2/3 of your clvl. Hence, not even a clvl 99 character can obtain ilvl 67 mods, aiya, such as Cruel and of-Evisceration." 5) How many sockets would a Crafted Item obtain during the engrave-socket quest? How would this fare with the 3-Perf-Skull and 1-SoJ recipe, that claims to add one more socket? Right now I think they can only get 1 socket. But it'll be made pointless if that other recipe can keep on adding sockets. Please some quick answers will solve a lot of trouble for me! Quanal |

1 Plain or Superior items, Both socketed of course. 2 I have seen Crafted items pics with +14% durability from being Superior base items so I would say yes. 3 I havent seen any official word on this and have seen people post both rare and Magic. My personal guess is magic based on a crafted mace pic with 24% life steal. 4 I have read same but can only assume it is true. 5 I beleive this is bugged in beta and final number will be 1 socket.

Wel, I've only crafted one item in the beta (because I've mostly played in hell/act V and the drops there are bugged -- jewels don't drop, period). Based on that and Spirea's info http://spirea.lurkerlounge.com/Cube_Recipes.shtml the dii.net info doesn't seem to agree exactly http://www.diabloii.net/items/crafted/recipes.shtml I would say: 1) recipes require magic items (I haven't tried it with a rare, which I assume doesn't work) I crafted a magical spiders bow 2) Craft bonuses erase bonuses on the original item; they don't stack 3) I've read that crafted items can gain magic-only stats, but I can't confirm this from personal experience 4) It says that items gain bonuses at 66% of clvl, so I assume that's true 5) I used the socket-quest reward on the crafted spiders bow, and got three sockets. I assume this is a bug that will be fixed to allow only one socket on crafted items in the final release. |

Awesome page for crafted items is at diabloii.net: http://www.diabloii.net/items/crafted/recipes.shtml Some things to note: -The item ingredient varies; sometimes it might require a specific magical elite, othertimes just a weapon. -Crafted items can gain magic only stats, *BUT* as they are spawned with a max ilvl of 66% clvl, they can never get affixes such as cruel (201%-300% dam), even with a lvl100 char. -If the recipe can be created with any quality item - then use a superior, as the crafted item will retain the superior bonuses. |

Jeweler's - this will give you 4 sockets Master's - this prefix has equivalent iLvl with King's, and much better than. elemental damages, which average comes up to around 150 +2 to skill levels there would be much more thing.. but anyone can't be confirmed by now. only time will tell. regards,
