I wish to get some feedback on what you guys think. My lightning only(LO) Sorc has reached an impass that is all too common when playing unpopular playing styles, where to put the skill points. I use only litghtning, no warmth, no shiver/chilling armor. She is a lvl 60 Baroness(all 12 bonus skill points) and has Static Field, Nova, and Thunder Storm@lvl 20. Also a lvl 3 Lit Mastery and lvl 2 Energy Shield.

The only choices in my eyes are Lit mastery and ES, but what do you guys think?

If that's the case, then are you having mana problems? If so, increase mastery (particularly helpful to nova, the most costly lit spell). If mana's fine, put more points in ES. To determine the optimal amount based on your HP, mana, and vulpine items, check out Xinhuan's hardcore sorc guide on the LL main page, there's a calculator there.

Increasing ES to the optimal level will improve your survivability, which in turn helps you avoid regaining millions of lost XP on a death. Once you get ES to the optimal level, I'd say continue to put points into mastery. Maxing out ES isn't generally a good idea (you decrease your survivability once you exceed the optimal amount), and decreasing your mana cost may allow you to remove +mana items in favor of +life.

Lightning and Chain Lightning are (unfortunately) not really feasible past normal, which is too bad. I like those spells. You may be interested to learn that charged bolt can be quite powerful, check out Sirian's charged bolt sorc on his web page.

I, too, have a LO sorc but you've got a lot of levels on her. How's your general experience been compared to, say, the standard SF+FO sorc?
