"Speedy Weapons get Faster?"
|
I was wandering around with my Minion/Melee Necro, and happened across a rare Military Pick that had GIAS as one of it's enhancements, bringing the base speed up to "Very Fast Attack Speed". Later, I found some Heavy Gloves of Readiness, which "Slightly increased attack speed" or some such. I put them on, wondering. I didn't notice any difference. Is "Very Fast" the fastest possible for weapons? Or will very fast stack with other "+ weapons speed" stuff, to make it even faster, though not noticable to the human eye? There is a cap somewhere, but you can definitely go faster. The Rune Sword is "Very Fast", yet, the Cutlass is a notch or two faster. Add in GIAS, SIAS gloves and Goldwrap, and you can Zeal at 3 frames.Faithfully knightScape |

LAST EDITED ON 04-14-01 AT 09:47 AM (PDT) Because D2 is frames based, you might not notice when putting on the SIAS gloves (depending on other speed modifiers). Check out the great weapon speed mechanics page posted here on LL (I believe it was Trucidation... sorry can't give proper credit Basically, you won't see a change in speed until you drop frames per attack animation. Using the formulas on that page, you can see why in your case the gloves didn't add any more speed. |
