"Gambling odds"

Has anyone gotten a hold of the new gambling percentage ranges? Since they can only be magical or rare now, have the percentages changed to 85% / 15% ? (I've heard lots of testers saying that rares seem to be easier to get.) If any of the testers would be willing to post their number of gambling successes and failures, a total sum of everyone's responses would probably give us a fairly accurate summation of what's going on...

(Also interested in Exceptionals and Elites in gambles, if they occur, percentages, etc., but that would be harder to discern through observation alone due to the bookkeeping

While this post only has one statistic, I know that I have a 100% failure rate so far gambling for rare rings and amulets.

GF says the chance is now 95% Magic, 5% Rare.

http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/basics/gambling.shtml

So, now the question is, what's the chance to get Elites and Exceptionals, and how is this influenced by character level and difficulty level?

Yes you only have a 5% chance of a rare, but also worse is that you cant gamble *magical* exceptionals/Elites only *Rare* exceptionals/Elites (check the wording in the gamble page of the arreat summit, I have corresponded with Shlonglor over this wording because I initially thought that it was a mistake).

Actually, from a theoretical perspective I like this idea. Since one can supposedly buy magic elites/exceptionals from the regular vendors where you even know what you are getting ahead of time I'd rather have anything gambled to be rare. Of course, not having the beta, I don't know how well this works in practice.

It depends on the order it makes the choices in. Eg if it does is it rare, if so is it exceptional/elite is very different than is it exceptional/elite, make it rare.

Now with some of the magic affixes being better than possible on rares, it appears that for certain situations, a magical exceptional/elite may be what a player is looking for (especially consider the Godly prefix on armor...).

If it's only rares then Blizz gets rid of the problem of 'making money' out of gambling. ie if you gamble magical elite quilted armors and sell them you would get a fair bit (perhaps/conjecture) but if elites are only possible with rares then only 1/20 possibility of elites and therefore due to the money cap even a 100% elite chance means you only need a minimum gamble cost of 1250 to guarantee that in the long run ppl can't make money off gambling. however if you could gamble elite magicals the minimum gamble cost for any item would need to be 25000. (I'm making a few assumptions, but 'making money' is probably Blizzards reason for doing this).
