Is the US headed towards a socialist government?

I don't know anymore kandrathe, you tell me what type of country we're living in, because its sure looking less and less like a Democracy to me.

We're about as much of a Democracy as we have ever been (not very imo). We are moving away from Capitalism though, but thats been a long slow move for the last ~100 years.
