My ex got breast enhancement and liposuction surgery. She felt proud of herself for the first time in a long time and even to this day, it really had a profound effect on her psyche. And I was happy for her. You only live *this* life once, so if something will bring such a positive change in your life for the rest of your life, you can't take that money with you to the grave, and your nor getting out of this life alive, so I say its okay to treat yourself to some debt every once in awhile.
