Poor people suffer the worst from being overweight, because good food (e.g. fruits, vegetables. salads) are more expensive, so they tend to eat the cheap foods. Wealthier people can afford to eat leaner meats, higher in protein, and are more likely to eat healthier whether that be cooking in their homes or eating out. Wealthier people can afford to have hobbies and a lifestyle that accommodates exercise as well.
So again, more wealth means more choices.
