OK, let's try a different tack.
What is torture? Where do you draw the line?
Turning an enemy upside-down and forcing water up his nose? Putting a snarling german shephard 6 inches from his face? I don't feel this is torture. No damage, only psychological.
Burning digits off with a blow-torch is torture.
