RE: The D1 Meet'n'Greet
Hi all. Just registered to get the Hellfire A5 patch. After some timem I've started playing Diablo / Hellfire again. Won the Diablo but I don't feel a big change when I used the nightmare / hell hack (though yes, simple skeletons die from 1 firebolt lvl 10 and grant about 500 xp for lvl 25 char). Normal is easy though my mage had to fight with soul burners on lvl 15. Spent a ****load of money on Golem spell - which is completely unnecessary for me (slow, no AI, zero usefulness, too high mana cost). Chain Lightning wasn't also useful for me but maybe it needs a few lvls (regular Lightning was at level 9 or 10). Or I was using it plainly wrong. Haven't played Diablo / Hellfire really on nightmare / hell modes and there's a lot of nice mods (Awakening, Belzebub, The Hell).

Got tired with Diablo 2 when I was unable to do Ancients on hell (sorceress). They're invincible for me!

RE: The D1 Meet'n'Greet
Just dropping by quickly to announce this: if anyone wants to play Diablo SPAWN (AKA Diablo Shareware, yes, THAT), just let me know, and maybe we can do some playing on Battle.Net, for messing around or even PvPing, making the most out of Spawn's limited resources. (It's fun that way, since, say, having legitimate Lv15 Chain Lightning spell in that has A LOT more weight and worth in Diablo Spawn than in regular, retail Diablo. Plus everyone's locked to Warrior, which is fun for a change. lol) No usage of 3rd party software/hacking if so, plz. Glitches are 100% fine, though, since they are part of the game.

I normally play on version 1.09b, but I'm more than fine with switching to 1.00 or 1.08. (1.09 and 1.09b are compatible with each other.)

I actually take great joy in pushing the games I play to the extreme absolute limit, and doing so in Diablo Spawn is simply a delight. lol It's interesting what you can/can't do in it compared to retail Diablo.

For the record, I came across some people like me who had very similar ideas a few years now, and I'm not sure if any of them lurk here: http://notchance.blogspot.com.br/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMGMbvrjJAk
