Easter Eggs

Spring seems like a fine time to ask the question : Are there any Easter Eggs in Diablo 2?

Let's not count the Cow Level, at this point I'd say it hardly qualifies.
But I'm not aware of any others.

Well, there's a small Easter Egg in Act 4, look at the roof above where Cain and Tyreal are placed and you'll see the roof changing colors, beware from the Changing Color Roof From Hell!

The Chat Gem's only purpose is to make you wonder what it's purpose is!
This may sound confusing, but i'm blood serious!

As for other joke kind of things... the Unique Dirk!

I could tell you, but then I would have to terminate you. :)

I don't mind being terminated as long as I know what the gem is for...

Well there are the secret doors in the jail/catacombs.

There are those wierd looking windows in act 4 (look in screenshot that's somewhat interesting)

Then there is Lightsabre I guess.....(qualifies same as the Diggler)

There's the unique undead Fetish (or flayer or something) Bonehead....I've seen him WAY too many times to believe it is just a funny random name...

Well this is a pretty old thread, but a friend just enlightened me to an interesting new thing to give you about 10 seconds of amusement whild playing Diablo 2...

When in the game, type soundchaosdebug (type it again to turn off).

Thank you. Someone once told me to do that awhile ago, and I loved it! When I started playing D2 again, though, I thought it was SOUNDBYTECHAOS. I just figured they took it out in a patch or something.

My personal fave: In the Halls of the Dead (or is it the Stony Tomb?), there's a unique boss who's always in every game, named Creeping Feature. ^_^ This is a programmer in-joke - "creeping featuritis" means a program where the developers keep throwing in new features without testing them well enough, leading to bloat and cruft.

I always laugh to get the chance to kill a Creeping Feature. ^_^

Btw, random boss names are funny. "Puke Drinker", "Snot Lust", "Dragon Drinker the Mad", and "Flesh Wound" are my favorites I've ever found. ^_^

Hail Kaseryn,

Also, in the mpqs, Hephasto is referred to as the Feature Creep ;)

Ghostly Ghost, and there was one called Death Maul...

5 minutes of editing and poof: Darth Maul! I still have the picture but am really inept at putting it on the internet.
