Steam Powered

Has anyone else heard of the new way to play Counter Strike? It is with a Beta version of a program call Steam Powered. You no longer need the Half-Life cd and key. The version of CS that they are running is 1.6, not yet put out by CS Nation. They version includes a couple new weapons like a FAMAS, a Galil, smoke grenades, and even a tactical shield.

The FAMAS has a nice rate of fire and the secondary fire is a very accurate three round burst, although you have to be set up and aimed. The Galil has a great rate of fire, faster than the mp5, and a huge 35 round clip with considerable accuacy. The smoke grenades cause lag. The tactical shield sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. You can take about 10 rounds with the shield up, but the downside is that you can't shoot while the shield is up. Snipers can still get head shots through the slit in the shield. It has a few bugs, but overall it's pretty good. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of it....
