It's bad enough the capitalist state and its henchmen are violating treaties and jeopardizing the water source for the Standing Rock people for the sake of building this pipeline, but now they are sticking them in dog kennels? I wouldn't expect anything less from the American Gestapo. I guess 500+ years of oppression, plunder, rape, pillaging and inhumanity isn't enough for America's historical treatment of indigenous people, and POC in general.

Meanwhile, to add insult to injury, a jury acquitted the fascist, white male militia terrorists of Oregon of any wrong doing, while police arrested, shot, and sprayed mace/pepper spray and used attack dogs against innocent Native American protestors, who have a far more tenable case and list of grievances than the white reactionary scum in Oregon.

Of course, this is all tied into America's institutionalized racism and colonialist roots that have resulted in white privilege, but what some don't realize is that this is not just about race. No doubt, the Bundys were acquitted in part because they are white, but what many are overlooking is the nature of their motives in relation to those of the people in North Dakota. There is a CLASS element at play here as well.

The fascist, petite bourgeois militia in Oregon was a reaction NOT against private capital, but against the State itself. If anything, their aim was to further protect or strengthen their privileged position in society and was in fact conducive to the goals of capital and the capitalist class, in that they felt the State was not doing its duty to preserve their position or taking actions that jeopardized it. Thus, another significant reason for their acquittal.

The protestors in North Dakota, on the other hand, stand in the way of private capitals goals, the overarching of corporate power, and in general they are viewed as a threat to the very conditions of capitalism and the privileged position of the white ruling class. The State, being obligated to protect the interests of capital first and foremost, will not stand for this protest as a result. So, this is about class just as much as it is about racism, white privilege and Americas historical roots in colonialism. The entire thing is deplorable.

America is an abomination - as bad or worse than Nazi Germany ever was. Capitalism is an abomination; a backwards, rotten, destructive, and truly despicable system that cares for nothing except the accumulation of more capital. Ugh, this whole thing is a blood curdling outrage. These are dark times, to say the least.

"Your very ideas are but the outgrowth of conditions of your bourgeois production and bourgeois property, just as your jurisprudence is but the will of your class, made into law for all, a will whose essential character and direction are determined by the economic conditions of the existence of your class." - Marx (addressing the bourgeois)
