It probably wasn't the first time I laughed at the TV, that was probably some cartoon.

But the first time I remember laughing at the TV, that was Dick Martin. I was 5 or 6. Just before a commercial break, the camera cut to him and he said "Horse!" and then the camera cut away from him. That was just amazingly funny to me.

A few years later I realized that the real joke, if you could call it that, was that he was just saying the first syllable of "horse-(poop)". Maybe it would have been funnier to me when I saw it if he had said "Horsepoop!" but hey I wasn't 3 anymore.

I thought this was some sort of poke at the new laws in California allowing gay marriage: Link

First time I ever say Tiny Tim was on Laugh-In. Did I laugh at that show? You bet your sweet Bippy!

It was one of the few TV shows my Dad would let us watch.

When John Wayne was a guest, he offered the following poem:

The Sky is Blue
By John Wayne

The sky is blue
The grass is green
Get off your butt
And join the Marines!

Longfellow, watch your back, the Duke is all over ya.
