Sunday Morning with Miss Cleo
#1
I skipped the last potential Sunday Morning date, mostly because I'm selfish and I really only wanted to work on scepter quest stuff, and I wasn't going to ask everyone to help just me do it. Sabra picked it up and got a Scholomance run together, which was great (that was the morning we had a pickup raid smash Dragonkin in Seradane for Nightmare Shards).

For this week, I figure we have two options that would be really fun:

1) 45 minute Baron runs. We can do 2 or 3 of these, each time taking one character along who needs to get it done, escorted by our decked out characters. We'll just nuke the crap out of Stratholme to finish 45-minute runs, and line up to start the next one. As Skandranon correctly pointed out, 45-minute Baron runs are the fastest way to score Argent Dawn rep anyhow, so there's incentive for the uberchars to go. I know there's a few Lurker characters out there who could use a 45-minute Baron run for their tier gear quests, and that means we could get it done for 2-3 of those characters just that morning. I've only actually ever attempted a 45-minute run once, where I succeeded with a PuG with 2 minutes remaining. It was a lot of fun speeding through it go-go-go.

2) Isle of Dread Chimera hunting. A few of us need to hunt the Chimerocs on the Isle of Dread in Feralas in order to finish the Dirge's Kickin Chimeroc Chops quest. This is a scepter quest that gets us the epic cooking recipe which will help Avarice raids. It's a 25 stamina buff! And if any of us are greedy enough to sell the recipe, it goes for a huge amount on the auction house (since technically we don't all need that recipe). I don't plan on selling mine, since Cleoboltra can make Goblin Rocket Fuel and can probably cook a few of these up for a rainy day. In order to defeat the boss there, it's supposedly possible with five VERY well-geared characters, but the more the merrier (it's a raid boss). No matter what, we'll be gathering some Chimeroc meat required for the recipe, which can only do us good.

The usual, 9:00 AM at the meeting location sharp. If we're going to do option 1, please park any characters you want to take on the 45-minute run for the quest at the Stratholme entrance before starting, and we'll work out the run rotation. If we're going to do option 2, we'll meet at Feathermoon Stronghold at 9:00 AM.

Please state what you're interested in, and what character(s) you'll want to bring depending on the option. I'll post on Saturday what we'll be doing so you can get ready if need be.

Definately interested in 1 w/ Ramala:)
Trade yourself in for the perfect one. No one needs to know that you feel you've been ruined!

I'd be interested in #1 for Orisella and #2 for Tahapenes. I'll try and be up that early.

I don't know if I have anyone that qualifies as geared-up enough to help on any of this, but I'll be available.

On an ancillary thread-hijacking sidenote, are the T0.5 sets worth getting? I'm about to the point where my druids are not able to progress in gear any other way, but it would involve a lot of PUG runs just to get the T0 sets, much less upgrade them.
At first I thought, "Mind control satellites? No way!" But now I can't remember how we lived without them.

Alas I work this Sunday. I might be able to squeeze in one 45 minute run but it would be tight timing. :/

Bracers, belts, and gloves are easily bought off the AH and the quests can be soloed, for a fair bit of change.

If you don't have better, they make pretty decent items! Certainly better than the T0 versions.

However, there are better healing-only and feral-only items. Bracers of Prosperity from DM North (King Gordok), Eyestalk Cord (DM West, Immol'thar), and Gloves of Restoration (DM East, Alzzin Wildshaper) may be your best pre-MC healing blues. The Cadaverous set or the Bracers of the Eclipse from DM West (Immol'thar) are very nice for feral blues.

The Priest one is definitely nice for a Shadow Priest as it lends a lot to alternate builds. I'm not as sure one the druid one, although the druid set looks nice with the coloration changes. It seems that overall, the attempt was to make them more useful for alternate builds since the Tier 1 and etc seem to lock into one aspect of the class (and part of the reason the AQ40 sets were created).

I hope to be included. Both sound like fun. Never done either of them.

lochnar would be up for either, as usual

1 - for rep

2 - for quest completion - i was considering selling the recipe with the intention of splitting the proceeds with the toons that helped - other than completeness, there is little reason for more than a couple toons to have the recipe, especially considering that a group is required just to get the tenderloins so it makes the most sense to cook up for raid tank buffage

alternate - lochnar still needs the page from the demons in the blasted lands (but also needs a few others)

Okay folks, appears to be more interest in #1 than #2, so let's meet up at Stratholme. In order to fit Tal in, PLEASE be at the side gate entrance waiting to go at 9:00 AM promptly. If you want to bring chars on a 45 minute attempt, park them there and we'll get them in run by run. I'm planning on 3 runs, so figure on getting done around 11:30.
