Buck Owens is no more.

And I am saddened.

All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.

And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.

"Isn't this where...."

Me too. A friend who'd seen him a couple of months ago said he wasn't looking too spry, so I'd been meaning to get down to the Crystal Palace to see him again, but I guess that won't be happening.

Rest in peace, Buck.

G'night Buck.

My heart feels torn.

I mean, this guy had so much effect on ALL types of music. He was even covered by the Beatles.

I loved how he said that he did American music and didn't want to be stuffed in to a niche. He did rock, country, western, folk, hell, the man could do a little bit of everything.

Somewhere, right now, I bet Dwight Yoakum is having a drink.

Buck was pissed off that his red white and blue guitars with his name on them were being mass produced in China.

Kandrathe, thanks much for the words. They are fitting tribute, and made this sad old man smile to see them. Well said.
