Night Elf Dancing
#1
Some of the dancing that they have in WoW I knew exactly where it came from. The male night elf is obviously Michael Jackson, the male orc is MC Hammer, so on and so forth. One I did not know was that the female Night Elf is actually taken directly from French pop star Alizee.

Of course, that's mostly because I'd never heard of her. Try this link out if you haven't seen her before. I'm pretty sure that at least one of the moves is pulled directly from this video (they may all be).

I don't think I will be quite as annoyed with night elves that dance over my corpse now. I'll just hear the music and think of that video again. :whistling:

On a similar vein, found this in the druid forums and had a laugh.

I think my heart stopped beating.

How do I restart it without a car battery?

After thorough analysis of the video (and I had to watch it 20 times to be absolutely sure), I would have to agree that Alizee must have been the originator of the Night Elf dance. The only piece of the dance that was missing was a part where the Night Elf crouches down and gently, um, massages her thighs. Should anyone happen to find a video of Alizee doing something like that and would post a link for all of us to download, then I think that would settle the matter once and for all.

The video of that is out there as well. There is a lower quality one that I saw nearly a year ago where she did pretty much the whole dance in sequence unlike this one. I have been unable to find it again though. She is on a smaller stage and has a stand microphone.

I believe (and could be wrong) that that is the move that she does while turning around.

I can understand if you were too distracted by the ... fish ... to notice.

LoL yep. I just found this place a short time ago, and created an account just to post that bit of wisdom. Made me want to learn French for a while, till I came back to myself. ;)

My arent we prudish. I by no means think her sex dance is a recomended taste - but I hardly see calling her a whore over it.

Her dancing is modest compared to the many of the most popular female singers today. She starts out fully clothed and remains that way, unlike some *coughJanetJacksoncough*. There's *lots* trashier out there. And she's French, and European norms are somewhat more relaxed/less prudish( your choice) than Americans.

Since she is from Corsica you probably have a bloodfeud! Don't worry, it will be painful but you won't suffer for long.
