Guy with the knife was a Marine with a Kbar.

I doubt I need to say more.
All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.

And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.

Is that 'was' in the sense that the sheriff went home with both barrels empty?
When in mortal danger,
When beset by doubt,
Run in little circles,
Wave your arms and shout.

Yeah. Pretty much. Both guys had their guts blown all over the place.

Hey... They didn't put the weapons down when they was asked.

A KA-BAR is one heck of a "boot knife." :o When you originally described it as a boot knife I assumed it had something near a 4 or 5 inch blade.

He kept it in his boot. Hence, a boot knife.

Cowboy boots are long and tall for a reason you know.

Most rednecks I know keep a boot knife down in there. Some folk keep little dinky guns.

Women keep pepperspray and mace down there, and occasionally some extra tampax.

These Are DEFINITELY NOT Guy Movies!

Some of your other selections probably aren't either but these are the ones I spotted at first glance - even allowing for some possible Father/son movies.

EDIT:  I will add there are some very good movies on your list and a few I haven't thought about for years.  I may need to take a quick trip to the video store... :)

Hi,

Couldn't sleep thinking of this post...I Googled Kill Bill & it seems the movie has a Love/Hate relationship with the viewing public. :D

Quote:If you emulate trash-cinema with a love like the love Tarantino displays, no one can criticize the movie. After all it's supposed to be bad!

Tarantino himself explains that where volume 1 was primarily eastern in its influences, with only minor western thing making an entrance here and there, volume 2 is just the opposite, drawing its influences mostly from spaghetti westerns and whatnot, with the eastern influence staying mostly in the background. And that's certainly true for the entire picture.

READ IT HERE

Kill Bill Volume 2 (2004)...BLOG Review
Quote:"All you need to make a film is a girl and a gun," Jean-Luc Godard once observed. Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Volume 1 is the 21st-century update of that pronouncement. All Tarantino needed to make this film was a girl—Uma Thurman—and a sword.
