I have heard that some group did it recently, but I don't know if it was that group. I'm not surprised, though. The Offenders met Ragnaros last week just to try out some ideas and despite the fight looking very tough and interesting, it also seems doable. We're going to try to take him on a bit more seriously tomorrow. I doubt that we'll actually win tomorrow, but I definitely see winning in the next couple of weeks as we refine and practice our tactics.

According to many people, raid bosses like Onyxia, Kazzak, Azuregos and MC bosses including Ragnaros are bugged in this patch, and do significantly less damage than they should. If it's true, it's a shame that the first Ragnaros kill is tainted by some sort of bug.

The Ragnaros kill is legit though, at least nowhere I've seen does anyone express any doubts. Alliance PvE guild called Ascent on the Medivh server. Raggy dropped a 75.6 DPS two-handed sword (yikes).
