Alternative to GMail?

... this is easily the farthest I've seen a thread on this board go.
Kind of funny when you compare it to the junk other sites let get posted ...

And I can never tell when you guys are joking on this subject <_<
Trade yourself in for the perfect one. No one needs to know that you feel you've been ruined!

There's actually a girl working at the local Burgerking restaturant, that looks *exactly* like Silvia Saint. I've found myself eating an increasing amount of whoppers lately :P

I'm shopping for a new email address because I hate hotmail, so I signed up for an account at aventuremail.com. Two gigs will be nice, but I get a lot of error messages when I'm messing around with my account: setting preferences, managing folders, moving emails and such. Often when I try to perform an action, the next page fails to load and I have to try again or refresh a couple times.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I suppose it could be strain on their servers if they're getting a ton of traffic or something of that sort.

I also noticed that outgoing emails get a nice four-line advertisement for aventuremail.com tacked on to the bottom of them. That's slightly annoying.

I imagine that's exactly the cause. I've seen aventuremail discussed on many other forums, and there is a ton of interest in it.

Time will tell whether or not they get their act together. I'm still keen on holding out for GMail though.

edit: yeah, they are definitely having some problems now.

Eugh! How can you even say that? Whoppers, and most fast-food in general, is so horrid that it can hardly be decribed. I'd recomend one of my patented bacon-fried burgers with A1 if you were looking for a good meal

Now then, to my problem:

Quote:We are currently not accepting new registrations. Accounts can be purchased in our store (http://www.aventuremail.co.uk/store) in the mean time.

Is it just me, or does this seem like a really big load of garbage? I mean they dont even mention the "you can get a free account now" on the main page, waiting for you to go through all of the registration stuff before saying "we arent offering this" I dunno, just seems like a shady move to me.

I find that whether fast food is good or not varies depending on the staff and time of day. Sometimes I'll go to a normally good fast food joint, and get some horrible food. Sometimes it's a freak occurence, sometimes it's common, depending on the staff.

I dunno if it's shady or not. It might just be a "clever business model".

Ah well, it doesn't matter to me anymore because I scored myself a GMail account B)

I have a Gmail account and I greatly enjoy it. I send a lot of emails with friends during the summer and during the year. Especially now, there are a lot of pictures floating around between us. It has some very nice features and you can thread your email conversations kinda like a forum. I have a webmail account from Purdue, but it's not as nice as this google one.

I really like this feature, and I'm surprised no one has tried it before. It's a very sleek way of keeping track of correspondance among several people at once.
