Oh, come on.  :)  There is a bright side.  With the US armies bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan, we don't have the muscle to take on anything else.  We will need to rely on good old fashioned diplomacy to deal with Iraq, Syria, North Korea, and the various central African brush fires.
