My Updates

My signature quotation remains still true.  Not sure for how much longer.  Tonight I fell.  Nothing broken, but arm still bleeding.  Just a bit.  However after the fall I was unable to get myself up off the floor.  Fortunately my phone was within reach and I called a friend for help.  He had been ready for bed but he put his clothes back on and came to rescue me.

Other than that things have not been going well.  I've mentioned previously my problems with leg ulcers.  It's been three and a half years and the ulcers continue to get worse.  My lower legs have no skin.  After recent biopsies the dermatologist reported "Good news and bad news."  The good news, they found no cancer nor pyoderma gangrenosum (an autoimmune disease).  The bad news, he said, "I don't know how to heal you."

I'd love to hear news of more of us.

Very sorry that this is happening to you. It sucks. Hoping for some miracle. Also sorry about your fall (I've had two, just minor injuries so far.) ... here, here's a little humor: if you die soon, could I have your liver? you won't need it. (kinda dark, but it's all i have at the moment). in your honor, i'd change my nick to Lavandiablo. Sound cool?

Was just thinking the same thing.

During covid(2020) I went through the time of refining my site a lot and finding lots of links. Had a period of immense pain in my back legs and neck at the same time my gallbladder was limiting my diet tremendously(and more pain) and started drinking a lil bit. That turned into drinking a lot at the bars and then partying with a lot of substances for a few years.

I moved 3 times post covid. I had my gallbladder removed, found out how to pop my spine to relieve the pain almost permanently(it's been a 20 year+ progress). The pain is virtually gone, and was for a while, while I kept partying hard. Had some of the best times of my life and worst times.

I bought a small fixer upper(ugh) in Sept 2025 and got a DUI right after because I didn't stop partying. I've slowed down a lot now. Working 50 hrs a week right now or more. My drinking has slowed down to a crawl and partying is almost just a memory. During the moves my main computer has been offline. I was not focused on it at all. I have updates I want to do to my site once I get to working on my house to make room for space to put my big ass computer desk and have a space to feel comfortable to work on IT projects at home.

I'm turning 42 in October. I felt old for the first time about 2 weeks ago when I realized the 90's were a totally different era, and I was there.

PS: Thank you Pete. I still correct my grammar and try to formulate complete ideas before committing them to writing because of you. I hated that you were annoying but right to call me out a long time ago...

PSS: Part of the bargoing and partying was a purposeful decision to learn how to socialize. It worked. I am way less awkward and more capable of interacting with people than I was before. It was worth the trials and tribulations. I needed it.

Godspeed everyone!
