^_^TYTYTYTY!! I hate always having to do this for each character and the colors not quite matching. Fantastic tip!

Not sure if this is a bug or feature, but the "daily" quests are not considered repeatable for the purpose of exp/gold conversion.

That means you can go every day and complete them at 70, reaping a good chunk of change while you gain rep.
See you in Town,

Nice tip. Small addendum: positions of chat windows are saved in layout-cache.txt.

Quote:No. The sound is perfect. The sound is glorious. I now live for this sound. It's the sweetest sound there is, hearing go "DING!" around the raid as it bounces. I was practically giggling with glee on our Curator kill last night listening to the glorious dings as it jumped around our Astral Flare-killing melee. It was even more fun with Netherspite, because you could then see the bolts flying around.

For the first time ever, I get to pew pew. I get to shoot bolts of holy power at someone and watch them bounce around to my group/raidmates. Shamans have been getting to do this for years; now it's my turn. And I love it. You can't miss those bolts of holy energy flying around the raid. They just look cool.

In other news, Masquerade Gown has now been fixed and buffed. It used to only have a 10% chance to proc on crits. Now it's about 10% proc on all casts. Combine this with Bangle of Endless Blessings, Improved Divine Spirit, Gift of the Wild, Blessing of Kings, and Spirit of Redemption's 5% spirit bonus, and I'm hitting 850+ spirit.

I got Innervated when that happened.

I wet myself.

2 glorious images in one post. Bolty creeping up behind a Shaman to steal our BouncyLight ™ and peeing his pants as well. So he runs off, leaving the Shaman standing in an increasingly smelly yellow lake.

He's a charmer that Bolty.

I don't know if this is intentional, but you don't have to do any of the new and very lucratice 5 man quests in and around Blade's Edge to get credit for them. Just hang around the elites until someone else kills them, and you can loot the quest item.

It's very obviously intentional. Otherwise, you'd just have the boss drop the items as loot.

Ah, you're right.

Well, you can solve the other problem by adding a [nomounted] conditional to the /use <mount> macro. Theoretically that should mean you'd have to hit it twice.

Or you could just read the post in this thread in which I told you how to do it.

Patch notes:
Quote:Monsters will now attack players who are mining mineral nodes near to them, even if they didn't notice them previously.

Warning! This has had the effect of reintroducing the possibility of 'train grieving' players (that had been removed the game in the orginal beta). Even if a player has already cleared a 'safe zone' around a node that they are going to mine, any mobs that tracked across that area by someone else will also add the miner to their aggro list. The result is that when the mob reaches its aggro leash range, instead of heading back to its home postion, it will then head back to the miner. This happened to me yesterday when someone pulled a train across me when I was mining a node in a cleared out area, I ended up with their entire train coming after me when it should have been snapping back.

Why did Blizzard feel this change was necessary? Seems just sadistic to me. And it removes one of the benefits of a flying mount / flight form. Many the time that I have landed on a node, mined it, and flown off without disturbing the local fauna.

Sometimes they seem to feel that's reason enough.

I guess farming was considered too easy/not taking enough time? Blizzard's main calculus regarding everything in the game is basically a Fun vs. Time calculation. If things take too little time we'll all finish everything and quit. Conversely, if things aren't even remotely fun (i.e. infuriatingly blatant timesinks) we'll all get disgusted and quit. So they have to balance the two to keep those $15.00 payments rolling in. I guess they felt they'd slid down just a little too far on the "time" curve for farming, what with epic flying mounts and all.

I'm quite intrigued to see how these "daily" quests play out in regard to this.

I've done a little mining this patch, and have not noticed any changes. I've been able to mine nodes that where pretty close to mobs, and not aggro. I'll keep watching for changes. But right now it's pretty small IMO.

The most annoying thing I have come across with the mining and extra threat thing is unattackable mobs. The worst are the corrupters out in SMV. Normally they are immune unless you kill their totems and won't aggro unless you attack them. Now they get aggro on me when I mine near them. Meaning I either have to kill their stupid totems and then them, or run away until they leash to get out of combat. The peons out on netherwing ledge seem to do something similar when I have the fel orc buff. They make the sound and sometimes do they aggro emote, but most of the time just keep on mining.

That was more than likely the exact reason they made the change.

It also introduces a new and unorthodox method of ganking Alliance scum in Nagrand.

Quite a few of those groups of peons seem to be bugged at any time - annoying if you're doing the "slow death" quest and feed them poisoned mutton that you had to kill 6 beasts to get and which they just ignore.

You can identify whether or not the peons are bugged by if they're working or not. If they're just standing right next to the crystal, it's most likely they are trying to path to some location and got stuck.

I run across 1-2 groups a day that are working but are still bugged. The worst part about that quest is getting 10 dead peons for 12 drops and having to fly back across the zone for a couple more drops. I'm kinda looking forward to being done with it.

Indeed, it seems the Netherwing faction grind is a lot more of a pain to level than the other new factions, at least until friendly or honored. The other factions have bombing runs, escorts, and games that any class/spec can do, but for Netherwing, a lot of kills seem required, unless you have the right gathering profession.
