Am I the only one that mourns the death of this thread that came at far too young an age? I finally had something to edit and hoped it would bump the thread. Nope. :(

Well, my list hasn't changed at all, unfortunately. But maybe we can find a way to make this more official and noteworthy.

For instances, I have many Stratholme and Scholomance quests -- also many in EP and WP, as well as Winterspring.

Edit (6/22/2005): I dropped all my Stratholme and Scholomance quests to focus on BRD and BRS.

Edit (7/19/2005): I have complete phase 1 of Eva's Scholomance adventure, looking forward to killing Jandice. I also need to get Attuned to the core.

Carpe Aurum's trying to get everyone set for MC and Onyxia. I know a lot of you are already covered, or have plans to be, but if you'd like to try and get in on runs to complete Onyxia key quest line steps, feel free to pop by here and leave a note. We're going to be aggressively hitting UBRS, as the number of Onyxia keys between CA and Lurkers is dismally low for the number of 60s we have between us. (Off the top of my head, I know Rylea, Darian, and Psybie have theirs, but I don't know who else does.)

Taha has the key for Onyxia and has attunement done.
Sith Warriors - They only class that gets a new room added to their ship after leaving Hoth, they get a Brooncloset

Flyn is good to go for everything. Galreth is now up to the Windsor escort for Ony and has done attunement already. Now that I see this I will go back and update my earlier post too for what it's worth.

Sabramage has two quests in her log in BRD that she need to complete.

A Taste of Flame (Bael'Gar)
Fate of the Kingdom (Princess Rescue)

Anyone else in need of completing these?

She is also very thirsty, as is Littledude, and wants to get to Dire Maul for Conjure Water Rank 7. I understand that it starts in DM north where a key is obtained that lets you into DM east and that it might be possible to sneak one's way to the quest giver. But... this is me, so probably not.

Anyone know DM like the back of his/her hand and want to provide a tour?

I don't know DM, but I'd sure like to get in there. I hear some good Hunter stuff drops there. As well, I have those two BRD quests, and I understand that they are near where you need to be to finish the Attunement to the Core quest, as well. I'll bring my bow and cat to this party. ;)

There's the spirit!

If you can stand the read, Mirajj, check out this. Don't give up, keep reading till you find Alleria's message that starts off "I'm sure almost every mage wants to do this quest. 4200 mana over 30 seconds is invalueble. Here's my attempt at a detailed decription on how to obtain and complete the quest." My lackluster research suggests that this poster is on the money for where to go. Sounds like it's sneakable and then we could go from there.

How's your weekend?

I'm out of town all of Saturday, and at least a chunk of Sunday. I've got Friday off, though.

I actually can somewhat navigate DM East and North now and I have some quests to clear. I have the same quests you need to clear in BRD and I think I even know how to get to them all now after doing a raid with The Basin in there.

I may start a seperate thread but I was thinking maybe a Saturday morning BRD run for the goofsquad and whatever 5th we can find to clear that stuff up.

I'm there! Let's get goofy in BRD. I would love to dump my two remaining quests there and pick up Attunement to the Core. Goofballs forever!

To those who responded to the DM Thirsty Mage run, can we shoot for making a start (at least) on Friday night at 8:30? (Date night for me, and Tal has to get his daugher to bed.)

I feel that Ruv will surely be in for this too. LD's looking parched!

Hmmm by my count we have Sabra, Littledude, Mirajj, Galreth/Flyndar, Gnolack and Sharanna. I don't think Sharanna is up for Main Healing GG through DM so it may make more sense for me to bow out in favor of a better group combination...

If Flyn wants to run Galreth in there instead of Flyn, I can bring in Aleri for main healing. And maybe actually get her the quest reward dagger (maces is now 300 so there's no time like the present to start skilling up daggers too ;) ).
Intolerant monkey.

Can't speak for Flyn, so I'll let him speak for himself.

Quote:I could help here too. Just look me up if I'm around.
I believe I read in a different topic that he is not available till 9:30PM these days.

Further, while I know that Littldude has expressed interest in this quest and just tends to show up for the stuff where he knows he's needed, no word of confirmation from him.

My date night is off as Gabe has to work instead. So I can flex on time, if others can. We can talk about it in channel. But for sure, I will be waiting on the road in Feralas at the entrance to DM at 8:15 server time.

Here are some handy tools all in one place.

Link to 3 Maps of DM

Alleria's Description of getting this quest done step by step:

Navigating in Dire Maul (DM):

There are 3 sections of DM (North, East and West). Only 2 sections concern this quest, which is North and East. The questgiver is in the North, and the quest item is from the East. You will need a Crescent key to enter the North instance or a rog with max lock picking skill (Engineers, I have already tried blowing the doors up. Didn't work).

Upon entering DM from Feralas, you just need to follow the corridor till you reach a "T" path (you will notice a huge double wooden door at the T - Only graphics, cannot be opened). To the sides of the door, there are two slip-in entries. Go through both of them and it will bring you into a courtyard with ogres. Hugging the right wall will take into the east instance, left to west and straight across the courtyard is north.

Aggro range here is very small so its easy to slip past them. Dog patrols exist and they see through invis.

Step 1: Obtaining a Crescent Key http://thottbot.com/?i=35607
This is gotten from the east instance (entering from the courtyard). Immediately entering the instance, you see a non-aggro imp on your left. Speak to him and he will start running. Fight your way in the direction he ran to (right of entering the instance). Speak to him again, and he starts running. It goes on for a couple of times.

By hugging the right wall and killing everything in the way, enter the 2nd corridor (1st one takes you out of the instance). Go all the way straight down the corridor downstairs and hug the right wall, killing everything in your way. Go upstairs and you should see the imp there again. Talking to him will trigger him to fight. He spawns little imps over time, so focus your dps on him and deal with the non-elite adds after.

Loot the key.

Step 2: Where's the questgiver?

This can be done solo without any means of invis. Upon entering the north instance, there is a group of 3 ogres to your left and 1 wandering ogre infront of you. If you see the 3 ogres, you should also see a ramp down near them. Wait for the wanderer to move away and head down the ramp. Jump off the left side of the ramp to avoid the 2nd group of ogres, and head down another ramp.

This will bring you to another door that needs the Crescent key. Through that, all the way, takes you to the library. Questgiver is straight ahead of you, 1st bookshelf to your left.

Step 3: Getting the Hydrospawn Essence.

Eastern instance, coming from courtyard zone-in, hug the right wall, through the 2nd corridor, 1st right into a hall filled with Satyr demons and plants. Kill your way along the left wall and take the left turn below the ramp. Kill along the left wall again and this will take you to a pool with hydrospawn in it.

He spawns little water elementals as well, but they despawn when Hydrospawn dies. So focus dps on him again. Immune to cold.

Step 4: Back to quest giver.

****

Hmmmm, think I got everything.
